Ian Culbert formerly of Stanley and now resident in Canada shown on the right with his son John and daughter Georganne on Fathers Day. Ian, along with his late Mother, Phyllis, have provided several photos for the website which is much appreciated. Footnote: Ian died very suddenly in hospital in Burlington Canada on 8th September 2015 aged 72 years.

Two old Stanley schoolmates meet up again in Hartlepool at the Andy Capp statue. Ray Northcott who now lives in Tewkesbury and Jim Donaldson (Webmaster) Hartlepool. Ray and Jim left Stanley 50 years ago to enlist in the Army and Royal Navy respectively and hadn't seen each other for well over 40 years.
The houses shown you can see at the back of this photo is the lower end of Mill Street. The photo was taken at what used to be the football pitch in Stanley and where Shielhill Place now stands. We think it was maybe taken at the 1937 Coronation celebrations. Ray Northcott who provided the photo thinks his Grandad Graham is one of the men sitting. I know it's asking a lot but if you are able to help identify anyone in the photo or the occasion please get in touch.
Barry McHardy and his wife Freda. Barry was born in Stanley in 1935 and now lives in Winchburgh West Lothian.
